EVENT: Inaugural RESOLVE Network Fall Forum

One year since its inception, the RESOLVE Network has a diverse group of partner organizations and affiliated researchers primed to move forward with establishing a shared research agenda on violent extremism. The inaugural RESOLVE Network Fall Forum offers an opportunity to those invested in identifying meaningful solutions to violent extremism to inform and further refine the RESOLVE Network’s strategic approach to developing a high-impact, policy-relevant research agenda as we look ahead to the next 5 years of action.

Who: The RESOLVE Network and United States Institute of Peace (USIP) along with the broader community of practice on preventing and countering violent extremism.

What: The inaugural RESOLVE Network Annual Fall Forum will center on discussions of the RESOLVE Secretariat’s preliminary recommendations for establishing a consensus-based research agenda on this unique form of political violence. The event will give participants the opportunity to:

  • Discover new methods and approaches to identify effective responses to violent extremism;
  • Exchange ideas and insights on research priorities and regional perspectives;
  • Explore drivers of violent extremism through a multidisciplinary lens; and
  • Connect with future collaborators working in the wider countering violent extremism community of practice.

When: Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m-5:30 p.m.

Where: United States Institute of Peace, 2301 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC
