Bio

My main areas of interest are in comparative causal modeling for genocide and mass atrocities, mass atrocities/genocide forecasting, and political reconciliation/justice efforts (with a focus on truth commissions, trials, and reparations programs). I am the Executive Director of the Institute for the Study of Genocide (a research and advocacy NGO) and I have worked at the International Center for Transitional Justice and the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (now Rights First). I also regularly consult with the US government, foreign governments and various human rights organizations.
