Geneva dialogue: Disarmament that saves lives
Geneva Center for Security Policy
'Disarmament that saves lives’ is the second in a four-part event in a summer seriesorganized to move forward on the Secretary-General’s Disarmament Agenda Securing our Common Future: An Agenda for Disarmament.
This town hall-oriented event will look at how to take forward the recommendations in the section of the Agenda on ‘Disarmament that Saves Lives’, focusing in particular on conventional weapon-related issues.
Co-organized by international Geneva institutions, ‘Disarmament that saves lives’ will be facilitated by Glenn McDonald, Small Arms Survey, and feature an informal discussion on a number of substantive issues related to conventional weapons, including operationalizing the Secretary-General’s agenda; linkages and gaps between the Secretary-General’s agenda and the work of Geneva institutions; and opportunities for moving forward.
