I look back at the movies and movie heroes I admired as a child — the Commandos and Terminators and I can’t help but notice the resemblance with some of the big terrorist organisations: ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab & Boko Haram. Is it just me or do you think that some young person somewhere sees terrorism as an outlet, a way to live this cool “Superman” dream? Add religion to the equation and you have a more compelling narrative.
