Publication Launch Roundtable: Campuses and Conflict in the Lake Chad Basin

Summary

On May 9, 2018, the RESOLVE Network held an in-person and online roundtable to launch the Network’s newest research report, Campuses and Conflict in the Lake Chad Basin: Violent Extremism and the Politics of Religion in Higher Education. The report was the first in a series of research products from RESOLVE’s Lake Chad Basin Research Initiative. The roundtable convened experts, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the evolution of higher education in Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria; the role of religion on university campuses and intersections with violent extremism; and trends warranting further attention.

The event was under the Chatham House Rule.
