Summary

On February 11, 2021, RESOLVE held an expert roundtable featuring four scholars who have contributed to the RESOLVE Network CBAGs Research Initiative. The roundtable discussion sought to provide guidance to policymakers on avenues to address the challenges presented to peace and security by community-based armed groups, as well as recommendations to avoid policy and programming pitfalls that might dangerously increase group capacity or encourage increased armed mobilization by communities imperiled by escalating state and non-state violence. This event was held under Chatham House Rules.
