02 October 2018

At the U.S. Institute of Peace on September 20, the Third Annual RESOLVE Network Global Forum explored new research approaches for countering and preventing violent extremism for policy and practice. Thought-provoking TED Talk-style presentations pushed the boundaries of understanding and countering violent extremism and introduced new angles and tools to address the challenge.

Pamina Firchow, former USIP Jennings Randolph Senior Fellow and Professor of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, developed the Everyday Peace Indicators, an inclusive measurement system of local peacebuilding interventions. At the RESOLVE Network Global Forum 2018, she talked about what everyday peace means for local communities.
